Audi A4 1.8 turbo conversion

since audi and v-dub are of the same manufacturers....i need to ask this question here, is a audi a4 non turbo to turbo conversion possible?

Anything is possible, Any engine can be modified to be turbo or supercharged, the problem is pricing and availability. The mod is not small though, it will take time and cost money as many things have to be done for the system to work and even more for it to work well and be reliable. What engine do you have in the car at this time?

Any non turbo engine can be modified and turbod. Just like RAS said. A4. Is it the 1.8 20v?. Thats a popular engine for this range. in any case, RAS should know where you can go and get the conversion done.

Say you have the 1.8 20v engine, The following may all have to be done or bought ...
Compression has to be lowered, Pistons may have to be changed, Computer of the turbo version and airflow sensor, Turbo itself, Intercooler, Piping, Manifolds, Oil Lines...
Its a list!

Then, Running standard gearbox, cv joints and clutch are all things not designed to withstand the type of power you can pull from the turbo motor. They may last or break at any time... So taking into consideration everything, costs involved and the reliability as a factor: you can do it if you are willing to spend big, and bills for a conversion can pile up quick and run into thousands of $$$'s

Yo thats alot guys from the sound of that conversion......time i dnt have now....money a little.....sho we will look at when i have gathered enough k is nou bang.....but thanx for replying...

Maybe its cheaper buying a wrecked turbo Audi and "Transplant" everything into your Audi's body... <- just a suggestion...

Come to think about it that cud work......i ddnt thnk so far......but if i do that where do i go to do that transplant....cos the little knowledge i have wont be enough to do all that work....

Ill make a few calls and let you know whom can do it well and at a good price
